“I am an avid river user and live across the street from the Willamette. Like many people here in Oregon my life is enhanced by having clean water to fish and float as my main form of recreation. One doesn’t need to look too far to understand that not everyone is so fortunate.
With growing pressures on our rivers, it is increasingly important to take part in preserving that which is so special. We are the envy of many other places in the country that haven’t been as conscious of their waterways. If everyone who benefits from our shared resource finds a way to contribute even a little bit, we can continue to have some of the cleanest water in the world. So if you enjoy clean drinking water, beer, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, drift boating, gardening, or any other of the number of things we enjoy here in Oregon, find an excuse to take the time to give back to our rivers! Cheers!”
